Rainer Kornfeind is a Commodity Strategist and contributes to fundamental research, trade idea generation and thematic analysis across global commodity markets. His work focuses particularly on metals markets and the broader battery metals value chain.

Prior, Rainer focused on private equity investments in the metals and mining sector. Before that, he worked in investment banking at Evercore in London, advising on debt financing, M&A and capital markets transactions across infrastructure and industrial sectors.

Rainer holds a Master of Arts in Accounting and Finance from the University of St. Gallen and a Bachelor’s in Banking and Finance from the University of Zurich.
