ESG analysis is incorporated through the investment process, from Screening and Due Diligence to Monitoring, Reporting and Exit.
Pala is a carbon neutral firm as of 2020 (Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions) and remains committed to a carbon neutral strategy going forward.
Pala Investments is a signatory to the UN-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI).
Pala is a member of the European Battery Alliance.
Community
At Pala, we believe our role as an asset owner and investor goes beyond sustainability analysis in our investment decisions.
We donate, individually and as a firm, to organizations and groups that support local communities where we invest around the world, whether providing immediate relief or long-term educational and well-being programs. We work with selected portfolio companies to understand local needs and identify local community programs and charities, though the organizations selected for support is a decision made by Pala.

Pala Investments is a Certified Cleanup Partner
4ocean directly manages a global ocean cleanup operation that recovers plastic from the world’s waters, and sells products made from recovered, recycled materials. Pala’s contribution enabled 4ocean crew members to pull 2,017 pounds of trash out of the ocean and rivers, equivalent to around 50,000 plastic bottles, and expand their operations with the gear and equipment to recover tires from the ocean around South Florida.
Supporting Families and Animals in need in Morocco
Support Flow to Morocco organizes aid transports from Switzerland to Morocco, distributing winter clothing, school supplies and medical aids to families in need across the country. Pala’s contribution allowed the foundation to acquire a vehicle with trailer in Morocco, to support the distribution of goods to very remote areas.

Indspire is an Indigenous national charity in Canada that invests in the education of First Nations, Inuit and Métis people for the long-term benefit of these individuals, their families and communities, and Canada.
Mamu Tshishkutamashutau (Let’s All Learn Together) Innu Education
MTIE is an independent school board in northern Labrador. Their education system provides a quality education that meets the individual and collective needs and vision of their students, in a manner that respects and honours their Innu culture, language, values and traditions, and prepares them to be proud contributing members of their communities and the broader society.
